My Services: Scope, Fee and Procedure

2.     Depending on your choice, our face-to-face training sessions can cover any or all of the following:

1. 1. Grammar
   2. Pronunciation
   3. Vocabulary
   4. Choice of appropriate words and use of an appropriate tone in formal communications
   5. Diagnosis of your English

1. 1. 1. Diagnosing your written work (academic assignments, business reports, letters, proposals, etc): identifying your errors, explaining why they are errors and how they can be corrected
      2. Diagnosing your pronunciation of individual words: correcting your pronunciation errors
      3. Diagnosing errors when you read a text aloud: correcting your errors in pronunciation, pausing for thought groups, etc

3.  Having regard to your existing English proficiency, I would be pleased to design materials which cater for your needs (academic or workplace).

4.  For a one-to-one tuition session lasting for 2 (TWO) hours, you pay $400 to $500, depending on your/your family’s financial situation. You pay less if you come in a group:

Proof-reading and Editing your Documents

8.    Documents of any kind, including:

1. 1. Academic documents (of undergraduate/ postgraduate / PhD students):

9.   For one and the same document (an MA assignment, a PhD dissertation, etc.), the following fee scale applies. The longer the document, the lower is the fee.

• 1. For a document of 10,000 words or less: the rate is HKD60 per 1,000 words
  2. The second 10,000 words of the document will enjoy a discount of 10%
  3. The third 10,000 words of the document will enjoy a discount of 20%
  4. The fourth (and any subsequent)10,000 words of the document will enjoy a discount of 30%

Please note that if the document has an unreasonably high number of grammatical errors and/or sentences the meanings of which are unclear and require a lot of re-writing, it will attract a surcharge of 10%.
