How to effectively learn English from a given text

To enable students to get the maximum benefits from a given text, students are taught individual vocabulary items, their proper pronunciation and their typical usage as illustrated by sentences extracted from Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary. They are also taught how to learn grammatical principles and usage from the given text. To facilitate learning, students are provided with soundtracks and exercises. As an illustration, learning materials based on a BBC news report on an extremely harsh US winter storm are listed below and accessible via individual links.
